staff is very friendly and helpful. 24h service at reception. happy hour with the best caipirinha all over brazil. this hostel is a very good opportunity to meet other people - young and old. 2 computers with free internet. coffee, water and tea for free. but they also offer other kind of drinks. good breakfast with fruits, cake, cereals, toast, jam, chees and ham. laundry was R$ 9 per kg (dec 2012). the hostel is very near to the center, lapa (with restaurants, bars and parties) and bus station for buses to copacabana, airport, corcovado etc. definitely recommendable!

Bossa's a terrific hostel. We stayed in a private room, which easily topped most any hotel room to be found in Rio for that price range.
Although the staff were extremely courteous and helpful, some city maps from the tourist office would have been greatly appreciated, especially as Rio's tourist offices are few and far between.

The place was really well looked after and the staff made it feel so welcome.
Some of the plug sockets and lights were broken.

Staff were very friendly and gave us plenty of advice. We had a free drink each. Breakfast was simple, but good. Our room was clean, insect-free and comfortable. The shower was a little hot & cold.
We had arranged a pick-up from the airport, however the pick-up did not arrive. We had to get a taxi instead. The hostel apologised for this and reported it had never happened before. They also gave us the cost of the taxi fare, which was very nice.

Very Nice garden, nice living room, happy people
Rooms too small and a lot black spots on the wall (stinky and probably not good for health)... Black areas covered by Paper (!!), nice try to hide ;)
